Staff Accountant

Department: Accounting

Staff Accountant


Accounting specialist 50%

  • Support cost accounting team on month-end closing
  • Assist in documentation of assigned controls for Sarbanes Oxley(SOX) compliance
  • Assist in performing cost variances analysis
  • Assist in account reconciliations
  • Assist in cost updates
  • Assist in preparing journal entries
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Collections 50%

  • Handle invoices, collections and assist in bringing accounts to current status
  • Provide customer service support on T&M Service and Service Contracts
  • Resolve billing issues or questions
  • Reconcile customer accounts/statements and apply payments to accounts
  • Researches customer inquiries related to billing concerns and misapplied payments
  • Engage management, Operations and/or Sales when required to resolve customers issues and outstanding receivables
  • Collections experience required


  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting


  • Proficient in Excel (v-lookup and pivot table) and Word
  • Strong communication skills - verbal & written
  • Experience with Sales Force and Oracle a plus
  • Analytical ability and detail oriented with a willingness to research and follow through to resolve issues


  • Interacts with company leadership and all employees in both group and one-on-one settings while maintaining professional and productive relationships at all times. Provides excellent customer service when interacting with external customers
